The President General of Akpo Development Association (ADA), Nze Henry C. Dim, has commended the people of Anambra State for their peaceful and mature conduct during the just-concluded gubernatorial election, describing their behavior as a true reflection of the light they represent.
Speaking with information officers, Nze Dim praised Ndi Anambra for demonstrating exemplary civic responsibility. He said, “Anambra State is indeed the Light of the Nation. What we witnessed today is democracy at its finest — peaceful, orderly, and purposeful. This is what elections should look like.”

According to him, the electorate arrived with clarity of purpose, ignored distractions, and voted according to their conscience in a calm and respectful atmosphere. “You can see how serene the environment is. Voters queued up quietly, security personnel were relaxed — not because they were not alert, but because there was no chaos. It speaks volumes.”
He also lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its timely deployment and preparedness. “INEC officials were already present at the polling units before 8 a.m., and all equipment functioned optimally. If this level of efficiency is maintained, Nigeria’s electoral challenges will gradually become a thing of the past.”
On voter turnout, the PG acknowledged improvement over past elections but noted that there is still room for growth. “The progress is commendable and a sign of increasing political awareness among our people.”
Nze Dim extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Governor, applauding his performance in office and urging him to build on the achievements of his first term. “This victory is well-deserved. Governor Soludo has proven himself a capable and visionary leader. I believe his second term will bring even greater transformation to Anambra.
Other prominent figures—including retired Educator Sir Joseph Okpalobi, business mogul Chief Charles Obiekwe, and ADA Vice President General Nze Christopher Okpalobi—echoed the PG’s sentiments. They noted that the civility demonstrated by voters makes the heavy deployment of security during elections unnecessary and economically inefficient.
“With the level of orderliness displayed, one can confidently say the results reflected the true will of the people. This election has restored confidence in the process,” they remarked.
They joined in congratulating Governor Soludo, expressing optimism that his second term will consolidate peace, progress, and inclusive development in Anambra State.
