The Emmanuel Anglican Church Enugwu-Ukwu was electrified by the royal presence of the Traditional Ruler of Enugwu-Ukwu, HRM, Igwe Ralph Ekpeh, his wife HRM Lady Dora Ekpeh and family who came to perform their annual thanksgiving which the royal family is synonymous with.
Inspired by the goodness of God to the family and knowing the blessings that follow every thanksgiving ritual, Igwe Ekpeh has made it a point of duty every second sunday in the new year, to thank God in a spectacular way with his entire family and household in a church.
Part of his mission in engaging in the Divine exercise, is to seek the face of God and ask for more wisdom to pilot the affairs of the community for the year.
This year’s event was graced by the cream of the Enugwu-Ukwu Community and some prominent members of his cabinet.
In a message to the occasion, the royal father called for peace, love and unity and expects all Enugwu-Ukwu indigenes and residents to be part of the development process in the community.
As part of his new year message, he urged the Anambra State Government to invest in the community which has massively supported it in all major elections in the state.
In their separate remarks,”Ozonkpu Philip Nworji, Ozonkpu Emma Nwankwo, Venerable Geoffrey Orji, and Chief Charles Okoye aka “Nzechinetugo, expressed their support for Igwe Ekpeh and wife and prayed for more peace, progress, love and unity in the Enugwu-Ukwu Community.
