The Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) has disowned a fake referral document currently circulating among members of the public, warning that it is fraudulent and did not originate from the Board.
In an official disclaimer issued on June 18, ASUBEB stated that the document which was falsely presented as having been issued or endorsed by the Office of the Executive Chairman, was neither authorized, approved, nor issued by the Board.
The Executive Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr. Justina Anyadiegwu, emphasized that the purported referral did not emanate from any office of the Board and should not be regarded as an official communication.
The Board advised educational institutions, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard the document and refrain from engaging in any transaction, request, or action based on its contents, stressing that any such action would be considered null and void.

ASUBEB further urged members of the public to exercise caution and verify all official communications through the Board’s recognized channels before taking any action.
The Board disclosed that relevant security agencies have been notified to investigate the matter and ensure that those responsible for the alleged forgery and impersonation are brought to justice.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, accountability, and due process, ASUBEB called on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious or fraudulent activities related to the Board.
