The Archbishop of the Onitsha Archdiocese and Ecclesiastical Province of Onitsha, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, on August 16 visited Christi Bu Chukwu Parish, Ogwu-Ikpele, where he celebrated Holy Mass and prayed for the spiritual growth, well-being and continued progress of the parish community.
The Archbishop’s visit provided an opportunity for thanksgiving, prayer and spiritual renewal, as parishioners gathered to celebrate God’s love, mercy and the universal offer of salvation.

During the Holy Mass, Archbishop Okeke offered prayers for the intentions, welfare and progress of the faithful, urging them to remain steadfast in their faith and committed to living according to the will of God.
He also prayed for the children who received the Sacrament of Confirmation, asking God to strengthen them and guide them throughout their christian journey. He prayed that through the sacrament, the young recipients would receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit and allow His presence to guide their decisions, actions and daily lives.

The Archbishop further prayed that the Holy Spirit would bear abundant fruits in their lives, empower them to overcome challenges and enable them to remain faithful witnesses of Christ wherever they find themselves.
He also prayed for those who had previously received the Sacrament of Confirmation, asking God to continually renew His Spirit within them, strengthen their faith and deepen their commitment to christian living.

Archbishop Okeke expressed appreciation to the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Ignatius Chidozie Ezemuoka, the parishioners and the people of Ogwu-Ikpele Community for their warm reception and hospitality. He also prayed for God’s continued blessings, peace, unity and spiritual growth upon Christi Bu Chukwu Parish and the entire parish community.
