‎The Executive Mayor of Anambra West Local Government Area, Hon. (Mrs.) Edith Nkeiru Ndive, has commissioned the newly constructed 1-kilometre Nzam–Odeotamaka Road as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
‎
‎The road project, executed by the Anambra West Local Government administration, includes a mini bridge and is designed to improve access between Nzam and Odeotamaka waterside communities.
‎
‎The project is also expected to strengthen connectivity to Olumbanasa Wards 1 and 2, while easing the movement of residents, farmers, traders and other road users across the riverine communities.

‎
‎Commissioning the road on October 1, Mayor Ndive said the project was conceived to address longstanding transportation challenges confronting residents of the affected communities.
‎
‎She explained that the initiative reflected her administration’s commitment to practical development projects capable of improving mobility, stimulating economic activities and enhancing the wellbeing of residents.

‎
‎Ndive commended the people of Anambra West for their support and cooperation, noting that sustainable development required a strong partnership between government and citizens.
‎
‎The mayor also acknowledged the contributions of successive administrations of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to infrastructural development in the local government area, adding that Governor Chukwuma Soludo had continued to build on the foundation.

‎
‎The commissioning ceremony attracted community leaders, government officials and other stakeholders, including the former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Tonycollins Nwabunwanne, and the Mayor-elect, Hon.Tony Obierike.
‎
‎The Nzam–Odeotamaka Road is expected to enhance transportation, strengthen inter-community connectivity and provide residents with easier access to economic opportunities across the affected riverine communities.
