As some political parties in the state have concluded their primaries, a Gynae Obstetrician Oncologist, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi Campus, Associate Prof. Osita Umeononihu, has passed a verdict of credibility on the candidature of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Mr. George Muoghalu of the Labour Party and Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu of the APC Party.
In a press statement in Awka following the Congresses that produced the trio,Prof.Umeononihu noted that their emergence is good for the state as the electorates will be at liberty to choose from among them at the November 8 Gubernatorial election.
According to the medical expert, voter responsiveness will tilt toward one group turning out en masse to support the incumbent and others turning out en masse to justify their inducement to unseat the incumbent.

Prof. Umeononihu further noted that power play at the centre will be insignificant as Anambra is reckoned as number one Igbo state which electorates are known for protecting their votes.
Describing Anambra as an APGA State, the medical expert dispelled fears of national influence in the Anambra election which he viewed will be transparent.
In a related development, an Abagana indigene, Chief Ezenwa Okafor expressed delight that APGA has made the right choice in unanimously renominating Governor Soludo to flag his party’s flag at the November 8 Gubernatorial election in the state.
On his part, the Coordinator, Anambra Solidarity Movement Dunukofia branch, Dr Johnson Ezedinachi, received the results of the major Parties Primaries with dignified candour and expressed delight in the renomination of Governor Soludo.
He noted that the governor among other accomplishments, have distinguished himself in zero tolerance to borrowing and the harmonization of the State/LG Joint Account financial strategy and prudence for the two tiers of governments.
Dr.Ezedinachi emphasized that Soludo’s 3 years in office is like his 10th year in office, and has achieved more than most governors failed to achieve in 8 years.
