As the Anambra State gubernatorial election scheduled for November 8, 2025, approaches, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, is enjoying a remarkable wave of support. This overwhelming approval was clearly echoed during recent Town Hall meetings held with Ndi Anambra communities in Lagos and Abuja, where the governor presented his three-year performance scorecard.

Governor Soludo’s stellar achievements have placed him far ahead of any potential contender, with Ndi Anambra at home and in the diaspora expressing a collective and unwavering vote of confidence in his leadership.

According to the State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, prominent Anambra indigenes both within and outside the state have been assessing Governor Soludo’s administration—and the consensus is clear: he has delivered impressively. What’s even more striking is that the chorus of endorsements has not been limited to supporters alone; key figures from opposition parties have also joined in backing Soludo’s re-election bid.

One such prominent figure is former Anambra State Governor, Senator, and Minister, Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige. Speaking at the Abuja Town Hall meeting, Dr. Ngige declared his unreserved support, famously telling Soludo, “Carry go!” Despite appeals from a small faction of APC members in Anambra to withhold endorsement, Dr. Ngige explained that after personally witnessing the governor’s transformative strides, he had no choice but to back him. In his words: “I came. I saw. But I did not conquer. I confirmed. Odenigbo, carry go!”

With resounding endorsements from Lagos and Abuja—and with the UK town hall endorsement expected on Monday, April 21—Governor Soludo’s path to re-election appears increasingly assured.

Dr. Mefor, offering insight into public sentiment across the state and the diaspora, emphasized that this wave of support is a clear declaration that “there is no vacancy in Awka Government House.”

Even before the town hall engagements in Lagos and Abuja, Governor Soludo had been receiving widespread endorsements from numerous quarters—students, youth bodies, and various support groups—all praising his governance and leadership.

Notably, the Lagos town hall meeting followed a major recognition from the Vanguard Newspaper, which had honoured Governor Soludo as Vanguard Governor of the Year for Good Governance, further cementing his status as a transformative leader.
