The entertainment industry in Anambra State received a super boost as music icon Flavour and other notable music artists thrilled thousands of spectators that graced the grand opening of the Solution Fun City.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo in an emotion laden speech declared the Fun City open and announced that the center will operate 24 hours on a daily basis.
He urged the citizenry to feel free to use the facilities in the center built to provide recreation, entertainment and relaxation.
He noted that his administration will continue to sustain its vision of developing all sectors of the economy simultaneously.
The Commissioner for Culture, Tourism and Entertainment, Comrade Don Onyenji noted with joy the capacity of the Fun City which has catapulted the image of the state to enviable heights in the entertainment industry.
The state Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Vin Ezeaka(Esquire) graced the occasion with the conviction that Governor Soludo has provided first class facilities that will keep body and soul together.
Barrister Ezeaka expects that residents of the state including foreign expatriates will take advantage of the complex to use it with a sense of maturity to enhance its durability.
In a press statement during the occasion, the state Deputy Chairman, Traditional Rulers Council and Chairman, Anambra North Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Benjamin Okeji okayed the establishment of the Fun City which will provide quality leisure and entertainment to Anambra residents and beyond.
Igwe Okeji doubling as the Traditional Ruler of Omasi congratulated the governor for being “Oluatuegwu’ indeed and urged him not to relent on his efforts to take Anambra to higher enviable heights.
His Akwaeze counterpart, Igwe Christopher Okpala extolled Governor Soludo for the grand opening of the Fun City which has exposed his willingness to take Anambra State to the next level.
In their separate remarks, the traditional Ruler of Umuoba Anam, Igwe George Ekwealor, his Eziagu counterpart, Orumba South LGA, Igwe Bernard Emejuo, the President General of Enugu Otu Aguleri, Chief Victor Emeka, and the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Forster Ihejiofor paid glowing tribute to Governor Soludo for building a quality Fun City which has created employment opportunities for Anambra residents and beyond.
The occasion attracted who is who in Anambra State and beyond such as the member representating the Ihiala Federal Constituency in the house of representatives, Right Honourable Dr. Paschal Agbodike, the state Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, the Traditional Ruler of Ndiokpalaeze, Igwe Frederick Okoli, some Nollywood stars such as Ngozi Ezeonu , among others.
