A wave of jubilation swept through Onitsha as the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) marked the Supreme Court’s affirmation of Chief Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa as its rightful National Chairman. Faithful and well‑wishers descended on St. Jude Catholic Church, Fegge, for a triumphant thanksgiving Mass, before moving to Godwin Achebe Stadium for a spirited rally in honour of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, APGA’s National Leader.

Inside the packed church, drums rolled and hymns rang out as worshippers celebrated what they called “justice served.” Flanked by party stalwarts, Ezeokenwa offered prayers of gratitude, acknowledging divine intervention in overcoming recent leadership disputes.

Supporters, waving APGA flags, hailed him as the “Lion of Justice,” praising the Supreme Court’s decision for restoring unity and stability within the party.

At the Godwin Achebe Stadium on Ziks Avenue. There, thousands, comprising youth groups, women’s associations, market traders, and cultural ensembles, gathered to honour Governor Soludo.

Chanting “Solution!” in unison, attendees lauded his three‑year tenure, citing improved roads, upgraded markets, and new healthcare facilities as hallmarks of his leadership.

Speakers at the rally framed the event as both a celebration of Soludo’s accomplishments and a public endorsement of his second term. “Governor Soludo has transformed Anambra like never before,” declared one party elder, to thunderous applause.

Banners declaring “Anambra Belongs to APGA” fluttered overhead, underscoring the party’s confidence in its leadership and its vision for the state’s future.

The twin events: Mass and rally stood as powerful symbols of APGA’s restored cohesion and its commitment to democratic ideals. For supporters in Onitsha, the celebrations were not just about vindication; they signaled a renewed chapter of unity and progress for the party and the state.
