The Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has described the Anglican Bishop of the Diocese on the Niger, Rt. Rev. Owen Nwokolo as a true Priest whose service to God and humanity has been glorious.
Felicitating Bishop Nwokolo on behalf of the State Legislature as he marks his birthday, Rt. Hon. Udeze praised him for his sound theological and evangelical exploits in the Diocese and beyond, noting that the Anglican Diocese on the Niger has remained pivotal and maintained visible leadership among other Dioceses in the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion.
The Speaker expressed gladness that Bishop Nwokolo has been able to transform the Diocese both spiritually and physically through expansion of parishes and engagement in revival programmes in the Diocese.
He paid glowing tribute to Bishop Nwokolo for making history by establishing the famous University On The Niger, Umunya to address the academic and spiritual needs of the people.
Rt. Hon. Udeze while wishing Bishop Nwokolo more glorious birthday celebrations, enjoined members of the Niger Diocese to continue to give the bishop maximum support and encouragements to enable the ancient Diocese to achieve greater heights.
