Rural Dwellers within Amesi, Akpo, Ogboji Road under construction have declared support for Soludo’s second term bid, describing it as requisite for sustainable development of Anambra State.
They made their position known during an interaction with information officers who visited the construction site within Amesi, Akpo Axis, in Aguata LGA.
In their separate speeches, Mr Udochukwu Ofobuike, Mrs Esther Igwe, Mr Nathaniel Okpalachukwu; Mr Jonas Ofobuike, MrJosephat Ezeama and Nze John Onyebuchi, agreed that Soludo has done perfectly well in every sector of governance as such needed to continue in office in the interest of Anambra State.
They advised political gladiators, especially those wanting to be governor, to wait, emphasizing that it is foolish to change a winning team.
“Free education from nursery to secondary schools which seemed impossible in a galloping economy like ours is in place in Anambra State.
“Employment of over 8000 qualified teachers, prompt payment of their salaries and other logistics has taken Anambra State Education system to an enviable height.
“Free antenatal, delivery of babies and postnatal services to pregnant women, in addition to health insurance scheme known as ASHIA has provided opportunity for good health.
“Every Onye Anambra and those living within Anambra State have adequate medicare at hospitals today which has made Anambra State Health system walk tall among equals.
“One Youth 2 skills programme of Soludo’s government has reduced unemployment rate, improved security and make touting an unreasonable venture.
“In the area of road infrastructure, no reasonable doubt, Soludo has written his name with an indelible ink among those who have governed Anambra State before now.
“For instance, Amesi, Akpo, Ogboji Road that is under construction now was awarded during the time of former Governor, Chinwoke Mbadinuju, who ruled Anambra State from 1999 to 2003.
“After him many other governor’s came and went without attending to this road until now that Soludo has come, what a solution.”
They described the road as an agrarian, establishing that when construction is perfected, farm produce such as rice, cassava, yams, cocoyam and other crops will have access to markets. “It is going to make our markets economically viable, chase away hunger and poverty from rural dwellers.
“We owe Soludo support irrespective of political party affiliations, interests or personal aggrandizement.vWe need an Anambra State to be proud of, Soludo is already walking towards that goal.
“Let us therefore drop our personal interest and promote collective interest, which is livable and progressive Anambra State.”
