Mimi Ifeoma Azikiwe of Themis Foundation has praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo as the driving force behind Anambra State’s revival and urged citizens to back his re-election bid.
Described as “The Man with the Map” and “The Heartbeat of a Renewed Anambra,” Prof. Soludo’s tenure has been marked by tangible urban renewal, strengthened infrastructure, and far-reaching social reforms.
His administration’s swift action in Onitsha; repairing key roads from Upper Iweka to Ochanja, rebuilding clogged drainages, and restoring reliable street lighting, has rekindled the city’s commercial pulse and elevated its status as a regional trade hub.

“But the governor’s impact extends beyond concrete and asphalt” she explained. Under his leadership, Anambra has mounted a decisive campaign against environmental neglect, turning the war on filth into a dignity-restoring mission for communities statewide. Health and education reforms have laid new foundations: primary healthcare centres have been upgraded, free antenatal care made universal, and school facilities modernized to ensure every child has access to quality education.
“Where others rehearsed promises, he has delivered plans. Where others have sought applause, he has built quietly. Soludo didn’t come to please, he came to serve. And serve he has. The Foundation’s statement reads, applauding Soludo’s quiet but systematic approach to governance.
“Civil service reforms, economic-empowerment initiatives, and youth-led innovation programmes have all been launched with an eye toward sustaining long-term prosperity.”
Mimi Azikiwe argues that a second term is not merely desirable but imperative. “Anambra cannot afford to begin again just as we are rising,” she declared, urging support for continuity of leadership. “We want four more years of clarity, courage, and compassion. Four more years of Solution.”
As the November election approaches, that endorsement from a proud Onitsha daughter underlines a growing consensus: Prof. Soludo’s blend of academic expertise, statesmanship, and servant-leadership has rewritten Anambra’s political playbook—and merits another chance to complete the transformation he began.
