The Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, has stated that the Obosi people’s endorsement of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s reelection bid underscores Idemili North LGA’s support for Gov. Soludo.
He made the comment during a rally organized by the people of Obosi to endorse Gov. Soludo’s second term bid, which took place at Obosi township stadium on August 4, 2025.
Mefor further described Obosi as a town critical to the electoral success of Gov. Soludo, saying that it is one of the five towns in Idemili North LGA, which are referred to as the big five.
“Obosi is one of the major communities in Idemili North LGA and it is among the five towns referred to as the ‘big five’ in Idemili North, others being Nkpor, Umuoji, Abatete, and Ogidi.
“The five towns are pivotal to politicians’ electoral successes either in Anambra or in Nigeria.”
Mefor also expressed optimism that Gov. Soludo would win the November 8, 2025 Anambra governorship election, convincingly, saying that Gov. Soludo should continue in office as Anambra State under him is on meteoric rise.
‘Gov. Soludo is on course to winning the forthcoming Anambra governorship election as underscored by Idemili North’s support for him.
“I have not seen other serious contenders for the Anambra governorship post, who can wrest power from him. He should continue in office as Anambra State under him is rising,” Mefor said.
A great number of people comprising Anambra APGA’s big guns, APGA faithful, members of various Soludo Support Groups, the traditional ruler of Obosi, and people from many different socio-cultural cum political backgrounds attended the Obosi people’s endorsement of Gov. Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s reelection bid.
