The newly constituted executive body of the Welfare Association, Ministry of Information, Awka has visited the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information Mrs Onyekwelu Ndirika (Esq).
The visit took place at the Permanent Secretary’s office at the state Secretariat, Awka.
While welcoming the group, Mrs Ndirika advised them to carry every member along in all their activities.
She said, “Do everything possible to carry all other members of the Association along.”
On working condition and avoidance of being stifled by other agencies especially while covering government activities she advised that the Welfare Association should assist by providing Press jackets and tags to Information Officers.
“You should know how to go about being recognized and apply wisdom in your job performance so that other agencies will not take over your jobs.”
The Chairman of the Association, Mr. Kennedy Aniedozie promised the Permanent Secretary that all she has offered as advice will be adhered to.
Members at the visit were, the Chairman, Kennedy Aniedozie; Financial Secretary, Emeka Ilozor, PRO, Ngozi Omenankiti and Treasurer, Chris Chikelue.
