The women in Onitsha North Constituency 1 have benefited from a free medical outreach championed by Hon. Mimi Ifeoma Azikiwe, Member representing the Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Welfare.
The outreach, organised in partnership with the Anambra State Ministry of Women and Social Welfare and Anambra Women United Inc., Chicago, USA, aims to promote women’s health and wellness at the grassroots.
Held at the Onitsha North Local Government Secretariat, the Day 2 exercise witnessed the participation of over 1,000 women who received free medical checkups, cancer screenings, and health education. The program provided women with both access to essential healthcare services and vital knowledge for maintaining healthy living.

Representing Hon. Azikiwe at the event, Lady Mrs. Epundu, the Onitsha North All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Woman Leader, commended the organisers for their collaboration and reaffirmed the lawmaker’s commitment to improving the health and empowerment of women in her constituency and across Anambra State.
Hon. Azikiwe’s efforts align with the Solution Government’s vision under Governor Chukwuma Soludo, ensuring that women are included, protected, and supported in all aspects of development while promoting stronger and healthier communities across the State.
