The Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has described the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo as a collective responsibility of all Ndi Anambra, expressing confidence that the governor will achieve an unprecedented clean sweep in the forthcoming governorship election.
Speaking from his country home in Atani, Ogbaru Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Udeze boldly projected that Governor Soludo would not only secure victory in all 21 local government areas but also make history by winning across all 326 electoral wards in the state.
According to the Speaker, the governor’s sweeping development strides across all sectors of the state including his signature projects such as the construction of a world-class Government House and Lodge, extensive road infrastructure, free education, improved healthcare delivery, strengthened security system, and youth empowerment initiatives have earned him the overwhelming support of the electorate.
“The people of Anambra have witnessed good governance like never before. In less than one term, Governor Soludo has transformed the state through purposeful leadership and visionary policies. Ndi Anambra will surely reciprocate this through their massive votes on election day,” Udeze stated.
He said that in recognition of the governor’s outstanding performance, the APGA anthem now resonates across more than 4,900 polling units in the state sung not only by party loyalists but also by supporters from other political backgrounds who have resolved to back Soludo’s second-term bid.
Expressing appreciation to APGA stakeholders and supporters across political lines who have endorsed Governor Soludo’s leadership, the Speaker appealed to Ndi Ogbaru to remember that the governor began his administration’s first major projects from their area.
“It’s time for Ndi Ogbaru to make positive history by rewarding the governor’s commitment to our development with their votes,” Udeze urged.
He also called on the youth to maintain peace and avoid any acts that could disrupt the election, while appealing to security agencies to intensify surveillance and ensure a hitch-free and credible exercise.
