As the sale of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms has started, the Eric Nnamdi Anyamene Foundation (ENAF) is working collaboratively with president generals of towns in Idemili North and South LGAs in Anambra state to ensure that brilliant students, who are resident in the area, are not hindered from sitting the 2026 UTME because of their families’ indigence.

Regarding that, the ENAF founder, Engr. Eric Anyamene, had a parley with the town unions’ leaders, who represented these towns, viz Obosi, Abacha, Oraukwu, Ideani, Nnobi, Awka-etiti, Abatete, Uke, Alor, Ojoto, Nnokwa, Akwu-ukwu, and Eziowelle at his Obosi country home on January 26.
Engr. Anyamene, who gave the directive that each of the town union leader should be given a minimum of 10 UTME forms, advised the town union leaders to give the forms to students, who direly and truly need them.
“You should register the students, who are desirous of going to university. This is to ensure that poverty is not the reason why the educational pursuits of brilliant students are truncated.
“And those students are at liberty to choose their examination centres. Again, the best performing students would receive scholarships for their tuition and others.
Engr. Eric Anyamene, who is the founder of ENAF, is a firm believer in the axiomatic, saying that education is the bedrock of national development. He, also, holds the belief that only the people, who possess skills and knowledge, can drive our developmental initiatives.
His beliefs regarding the pivotal roles, which education plays in our individual lives and in our country’s development, have informed his decision to carry out philanthropic works in the area of education.
Again, ENAF, of which he is the founder, has, over the years, offered scholarships to brilliant students from indigent homes, who performed spectacularly well in the past successive UTME. Those beneficiaries of ENAF scholarship scheme are studying many different courses in Nigerian universities.
Engr. Eric Anyamene further said that when we lift other people up, they will replicate what they have enjoyed, which will transform our country to a better place in which to live.
“When you impact others, overtime, you will have other people who will do the same thing, and our country will become better,” Anyamene said.
