The Anambra State Government has taken decisive action against individuals attempting to encroach on government land in Onitsha. The Anambra State Physical Planning Board (ANSPPB) enforcement team, supported by security personnel, recovered government land at Transi Nkisi Layout, 3-3, by NTA, Onitsha, after previous attempts were thwarted by thugs hired by the land grabbers.

During the operation, four suspects were apprehended and handed over to the police for questioning and prosecution. A local developer, who requested anonymity, praised the government’s efforts, stating that no individual is above the law and commended the Soludo-led administration for taking action.

In a related development, the government demolished a building in Ajakpani village, Umunya, Oyi LGA, that had blocked a communal access road. The Executive Secretary of Oyi Local Planning Authority, Mrs. Udechukwu Obiagaeli, confirmed that the structure was illegally constructed and the action was necessary to restore public access.
