Sir Willie Nwokoye, Principal Secretary to former Governor Willie Obiano, hailed Chief Uche Sunday Okonkwo’s Ozo title initiation as a momentous occasion. “Today, Amawbia’s Igwe-elect takes the highest title in the land, cementing his place as a leader of unimpeachable wisdom and integrity,” he declared.

“Today is a very significant day for me particularly because I’ve been in the forefront championing, making friends and enemies unapologetically that Amawbia is the centerpiece, eye of the storm of the capital territory. The capital territory cannot exist for one day feeling good without someone that is occupying the traditional throne, someone that will be the symbol, Amawbia personified in the counsel chamber, chamber of the Anambra State traditional rulers counsel. So today is a very special day”.
As Ibobo Amawbia, Sir Nwokoye proudly endorsed Chief Okonkwo, citing his deep understanding of Amawbia’s history, culture, and traditions. “He knows every family, every compound, and every story. He’s the perfect fit for the throne.”
Addressing critics, he emphasized that leadership isn’t just about academic credentials. “Igwe’s throne is about wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Chief Okonkwo embodies these qualities, and we won’t let anyone undermine his God-given right to lead.”

He urged Ndi Amawbia to rally behind their Igwe-elect, warning that doubters risk questioning their own heritage. “If you’re not here to honor Chief Okonkwo, you’re not truly Amawbia. We’re proud of our son!”
My prayer for Chief Okonkwo and the prayer of every well meaning Amawbia person that drank from Amawbia streams as a baby either from Ofiamazu, Okika, Mbagu, Anana, and Nwangene as well as ate Amawbia soil as a child is wisdom from above, knowledge and understanding.
