“We are proud of our students for bringing home two trophies. This achievement is a testament to their hard work, discipline and commitment. It is a historic moment for our school,” she said.

The victory holds special significance for the institution, as it marks the first time Prof. Kenneth Dike Memorial Secondary School has emerged overall winner in the competition, describing the feat as a landmark achievement that has brought pride, recognition and renewed confidence to the school community.

Special commendation was given to the school’s March Past Coordinator, Mrs. Watson Helen whose commitment and intensive preparation of the students were widely credited for the success.

Also speaking, the school’s English teacher, Mrs. Chioma Chukwudulue described the triumph as a long-awaited breakthrough after years of unsuccessful attempts.

“For many years, we watched schools such as Girls Secondary School, Awka and Igwebuike Grammar School, Awka, emerge victorious despite our efforts. It was always disappointing to see our hard work go unrewarded.
