‎The Anambra State Police Command has provided additional details on the recent Police-led Joint Security Patrol operation conducted along the Ogboji–Ajalli Road in Orumba South Local Government Area, which resulted in the neutralisation of four suspected members of an armed secessionist gang.
‎
‎In a statement issued to journalists in Awka on June 24, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed that investigators have successfully identified and contacted the owner of the white Toyota Sienna recovered during the operation.
‎
‎According to the police, the vehicle had been stolen by the suspected gang members before it was recovered at the scene. The owner has since been debriefed and has provided valuable information regarding the circumstances surrounding the theft and the operational methods employed by the criminal group.
‎

‎The command noted that intelligence gathered from the debriefing is assisting security agencies in reviewing operational strategies, improving personnel deployment, and strengthening security presence within the area and surrounding communities to prevent future criminal activities.
‎
‎Commending the bravery and professionalism of the Joint Security Team, the police stated that recent security successes in the state were as a result of effective collaboration among security agencies, intelligence-driven operations, and support from members of the public.
‎
‎The command further revealed that efforts are ongoing to track down fleeing members of the gang and their accomplices through sustained intelligence-led operations.
‎
‎Residents were encouraged to remain alert and continue providing credible and timely information to security agencies to support ongoing efforts aimed at safeguarding lives and property across Anambra State.
