The Management, Staff and Pupils of Ozalla Primary School, Ifitedunu, Dunukofia Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra State, have congratulated the Mayor of the council area, Barr. Chijioke Ozumba, on his successful re-election as Executive Chairman of the Local Government Area.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement titled, “Congratulatory Message to Our Newly Re-elected Local Government Chairman from Ozalla Primary School, Ifitedunu,” dated Aug. 31, and signed by the Head of Department (HOD), Education Consultant, Ozalla Primary School, Ifitedunu, Amb. Solomon Nwankwo.
The school described Ozumba’s re-election as a demonstration of the confidence and trust the people have in his leadership and achievements.
According to the statement, the school appreciates the mayor’s commitment to the development and progress of communities in the council area, particularly his contributions to education, infrastructure and the welfare of the people.
The school also commended Ozumba for his efforts in enrolling youths from the area in the Anambra State Government-sponsored “1 Youth, 2 Skills” programme, noting that the initiative had helped to engage many youths positively and keep them away from crime.
It states, “Your efforts to enrol our youths in the Anambra State Government-sponsored ‘1 Youth, 2 Skills’, which has benefitted and removed many of our able-bodied youths from crime, is top-notch of your career to save the community from shame and to sanitise the environment.” They further prayed for God’s continued guidance and blessings upon the Mayor, seeking greater wisdom, strength, good health, and understanding as he embarks on another term in office.
They expressed hope that his administration would continue to promote meaningful development, peace, unity and prosperity across Dunukofia LGA. The school also used the opportunity to appeal to the Mayor to include Ozalla Primary School in his administration’s development initiatives, particularly as the council continues to pursue its development agenda.
“Once again, congratulations on your well-deserved victory; we look forward to witnessing greater achievements under your leadership,” the school stated.
