Gozie Anyachebelu Polytechnic (GozPoly) has strengthened its commitment to technical education and innovation following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NEDDI, Nnewi, an offshoot of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
The agreement was formalised on October 11 during a visit by NEDDI officials to the institution, which included a familiarisation tour of classrooms, laboratories, workshops and other facilities dedicated to practical and skills-based learning.
Speaking during the visit, the Rector, Engr. (Mrs) Chioma Helen Abone, highlighted the importance of the partnership in advancing the polytechnic’s educational vision, strengthening vocational training and expanding opportunities for students.
The delegation was received on behalf of the Bishop by Sir Ikechukwu Ejelue, who represented him during the engagement, demonstrating the institution’s commitment to fostering productive relationships with relevant organisations.
The signing of the MoU was the highlight of the visit, establishing a framework for collaboration in skills acquisition, technological development, innovation and youth empowerment, with particular emphasis on practical knowledge and hands-on training.
The partnership aligns with GozPoly’s vision of integrating academic instruction with practical experience to equip students with relevant technical competencies and prepare them to become innovative, skilled and self-reliant contributors to national development.
Gozie Anyachebelu Polytechnic expressed appreciation to the NEDDI delegation for the visit and expressed optimism that the collaboration would promote institutional growth, strengthen technical education and deliver lasting benefits to students and society.
