The Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Area, Barr. Dominic Chinedu Ononiba, has thanked the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Njikoka Chapter, for its support and cooperation throughout his tenure.
Ononiba expressed the appreciation at a farewell ceremony organised on Sept. 30 in his honour by the union ahead of the expiration of his tenure on Oct. 3.
He commended the council workforce for its contributions to the administration, saying their commitment and cooperation contributed to the achievements recorded during his tenure.
The outgoing mayor said the solidarity and goodwill shown by the workers throughout his administration had been a source of encouragement to him.
He urged the workers to sustain the cordial relationship between the council leadership and staff and extend the same spirit of cooperation to the incoming administration.
Ononiba also expressed optimism about the future of the council and thanked the NULGE leadership and members for their support and contributions to the development of Njikoka.
