The Deputy Chairman, Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council and Chairman, Anambra North Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe (Prof) Benjamin Okeji is satisfied with the level of development in Anambra State under Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

In a press briefing in Awka on the 34 years anniversary of the state since its creation on the 27th of August 1991,Igwe Okeji doubling as the traditional ruler of Omasi, expressed confidence in Governor Soludo’s vision and development thrust which aptly summarized the advancement of the state since its creation.

The royal father operating as the State Chairman Southern traditional rulers Council, applauded the governor as the only Chief Executive of the state who broke the jinx of ensuring that the state took possession of its 6,453 acres of land portion of the Omasi Farm Settlement.

Given the spectacular gesture of the governor and his Agriculture Commissioner, Dr. Forster Ihejiofor in facilitating the take over of the state’s portion of the Farm Settlement, the traditional ruler announced his resolve to award chieftaincy titles to the duo at his 2025 Ofala festival slated for the 30th day of December.

According to him, the governor deserves all the accolades showered on him given his simultaneous development of the 3 Senatorial Zones of the state.

He announced that his community will always align with him to ensure his re-election in the November 8th governorship election in the state.

The royal father used the forum to applaud the Anambra State House of Assembly for the 3- Month suspension without pay given to the member representing Ayamelum Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Bernard Udemezue for making some unguarded statements against the government of the day.

In his belief, such action by the state House of Assembly will put to an end to any future acts of legislative rascality in the current 8th Assembly headed by Right Honourable Dr. Somtochukwu Udeze.
