In appreciation of God’s faithfulness and for the successful completion of his tenure in office, the former Mayor of Aguata Local Government Area, Dr Chibueze Ofobuike held an early morning worship and thanksgiving service on October 4, at St. John’s cathedral Church Ekwulobia.
The service attended by political leaders, community stakeholders, friends, supporters and other faithfuls, provided an opportunity to thank God for His guidance, protection and blessings throughout the four years of service in Aguata LGA.

The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Rt. Rev. Samuel Ezeofor, led the congregation in a soul – lifting service marked by fervent prayers, worship and joyful dancing to the glory of God. Reflecting on his years in public service, the former Mayor attributed the success recorded during his tenure to the grace and faithfulness of God.

Dr. Ofobuike further pledged to carry the same spirit of service and commitment into his new responsibility at the House of Representatives where he will represent the people of Aguata Federal Constituency. He also expressed appreciation to the newly inaugurated Mayor of Aguata LGA, Hon. Kingsley Ezeagu, as well as other community and political leaders who joined him and his team at the thanksgiving service.

According to him, the journey of public service has been anchored on faith, humility and dependence on God, with proverbs 3:6 serving as a guiding principle for him and his team. The thanksgiving service ended on a joyful note, with the congregation offering praises to God for the past achievements and seeking divine guidance and greater success in the next chapter of service to the people of Aguata Federal Constituency.
