As workers nationwide reflect on this year’s workers day celebration,the Medical Director, El-dorado Multi Specialist Hospital, Awka, Professor Chiemelu Emegoakor has felicitated with them on this year’s workers day underscoring the dignity of labour.
In his message to workers on this year’s workers day celebration,Prof.Emegoakor encouraged them to sustain giving their best not minding the travails of the nation’s bad economy and high inflationary rate.
Believing that workers substantial welfare is sine Qua non to their enhanced productivity,the medical expert urged governments at all levels to enhance their workers welfare.
To his colleagues in the medical profession,he urged that efforts should be made to enhance their welfare package through improving the nation’s economy to ameliorate the mass exodus of doctors ‘Japer Syndrome’ for greener pastures to developed countries.
According to Prof.Emegoakor,high taxation for doctors in private practice and bad economy are big hurdles hampering their practices and should be looked into.
In all,he wished workers sustained zeal to pursue their various sources of livelihood believing that motivation is the key to enhanced productivity.
