In a day marked by both solemn tribute and joyous celebration, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), attended the burial Mass of Mrs. Ludumila A.E. Mba and later graced the wedding of High Chief Innocent Chikezie’s daughter.

At St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Onitsha, dignitaries and well-wishers gathered to honour the memory of the late Ludumila A.E. Mba (née Okwukwe), mother of Anambra State’s Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Patrick Agha Mba. The 84-year-old matriarch was remembered for her unwavering faith, discipline, and compassion.

Delivering the eulogy, Barr. Ezeokenwa praised Mrs. Mba as “a virtuous woman whose influence extended far beyond her immediate family.” He offered heartfelt condolences to Commissioner Mba and the entire family, praying for her eternal rest and urging loved ones to remain united and uphold the values she championed.

From the burial, the APGA Chairman traveled to Ichida in Anaocha Local Government Area to attend the wedding of Chioma Miliscent and Chukwuma Emmanuel, daughter and son-in-law of High Chief and Lolo Innocent Chikezie, a senior APGA stakeholder. The dual-ceremony, combining a Holy Matrimony service with traditional rites, drew a vibrant crowd of community leaders and family friends.

Barr. Ezeokenwa congratulated the newlyweds, commending “the grace and character” of the bride and thanking High Chief Chikezie and his wife for their exemplary parenting. He prayed for a prosperous and harmonious union, expressing confidence that the couple’s life together would be filled with blessings.

By moving seamlessly from a dignified farewell to a colourful wedding celebration, the APGA Chairman demonstrated the party’s commitment to standing with its members through life’s milestones, both sorrowful and joyous. The dual events underscored the strength of community bonds in Anambra State and the party’s role in celebrating and comforting its faithful.
