No fewer than 33 men and women of Anambra East and West Federal Constituency have been trained on technology incubation and digital marketing facilitated by Mr. Peter Aniekwe, member representing Anambra East & West in the National Assembly.

The gesture according to the lawmaker was a desire to improve the economic well-being of his constituents at the grassroots level, noting that the move was also aimed at providing the necessary skills for people in rural communities to thrive economically using Laptops and other technological devices.

Represented by Mr. Sylvester Nnalue, at the training venue in Otuocha Anambra East LGA, Mr. Anekwe said the skill acquisition training will enable beneficiaries to leverage on technology for business growth, e-commerce, and digital marketing through the usage of their laptops and handsets.

“I intend to expose our citizens at the grassroots to the use of their smartphones to create wealth for themselves. Our citizens at the local level will have skills to thrive in today’s technology-driven world,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, the Consultant who trained the beneficiaries, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Odika, a Catholic Priest working at St. Joseph Parish Umuawulu, said that the training was designed to teach people at the grassroots how to make use of their laptops and handsets to turn around their fortunes.

According to him, we are here to train the people of Anambra East and West Federal Constituency at the grassroots on the use of smartphones to create legal wealth for themselves.

“The Laptops which will be distributed to them are not just for browsing alone, they can be used for wealth creation through digital marketing within the comfort of their homes. Generally, the idea is to reduce poverty.

“The world has gone global, and we must train our people to acquaint themselves with technology as the fastest means of making money, legally,” he said.

Highlights of the event was the distribution of Laptops to the 33 beneficiaries and some cash incentives.
