The residents of Ayamelum, Ayamelum Local Government Area (LGA), has applauded the Governor of Anambra State Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as the newly commissioned Anaku General Hospital delivers its first baby.
The delivery, which took place in the early hours of October 25 was at no cost as the mother enjoyed the free antenatal care and delivery services palliative of Governor Soludo which is being enjoyed by Ndi Anambra and all living in the State.
The childbirth and operations at General Hospital has been described as a major milestone, which symbolises the commencement of full medical services at the new hospital.
The Health worker, new mom and residents of the area, together with neighboring communities has expressed upmost gratitude as the first successful child birth and delivery at the hospital is more than a medical event.
To all, it is a sign of renewed hope for dependable healthcare accessibility at the grassroots.
The hospital structure and commissioning is an aspect of the State Government’s health sector reforms which also, includes recruitment of health workers in General hospitals, and Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across the State.
