In line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision on Community development and access to clean water, the Mayor of Anaocha LG, Hon. Rome Ibekwe has commissioned a 60,000 water storage capacity solar powered borehole at Ichida Civic Centre in Ichida town.
Commissioning the project, Hon. Ibekwe said that the present administration of the state government has done so well in development at the grassroots of Anambra State which Anaocha LG has long ago keyed in, to make sure that the vision of the governor is actualized in the LGA.
According to him, the event was to mark the milestone of the achievements and to fulfill the campaign promises made to the people of Anaocha.
HRH. Igwe Charles Ezeudogu, the traditional ruler of Ichida appreciated the commitments and intentional efforts of Hon. Ibekwe’s administration in providing clean, portable water in the communities of the LGA . The Igwe was ably represented by Chief Innocent Ezike, his palace Secretary.
The Vice President General of Ichida, Hon. Uche Ezeoke and Anaocha APGA Woman leader Mrs. Ije-Sunny Egbuna who also hails from Ichida community eulogized Hon. Ibekwe for the infrastructural developments recorded under his regime and for bringing the people of Anaocha to the lime light of democracy through the visible dividends.
