The Mayor of Awka South Local Government Area, Prince Chinedu Okafor, has issued a strong warning to the Udogachi Local Government security operatives, urging them to recommit to discipline, integrity, and dedication in the discharge of their duties.
Speaking at the Awka South LGA Secretariat podium, Mayor Okafor reminded the operatives that they are not merely uniformed officers but frontline guardians of lives and property across the communities. He emphasized that their role is a sacred trust, central to the safety and well-being of the people.
“I will not condone reports of negligence and misconduct coming from the public space. Any such complaints regarding your conduct erode public confidence and undermine the very essence of your mission,” the Mayor declared.

He urged the officers to rise above complacency, uphold professionalism, and serve with honesty and accountability.
Mayor Okafor further cautioned that any operative found guilty of violating the renewed ethical standards would face strict disciplinary measures, stressing that his administration would not tolerate irresponsibility or abuse of duty.
He, then, called on the Udogachi security operatives to see their work as a call to service, noting that the security and stability of Awka South depend on their unwavering commitment to doing what is right at all times.
