The Mayor of Nnewi North Local Government Area(LGA), Hon. Echezona Anazodo, on July 11, joined the Ubah family of Umudim, Nnewi, in celebrating the priestly ordination of their son, Rev. Fr. Celestine Ubah.
Hon. Anazodo described the newly ordained priest as a dedicated servant in God’s vineyard and prayed for divine guidance, protection and blessings upon his ministry.
He congratulated the Ubah family on the milestone and wished Rev. Fr. Ubah a fruitful and impactful priestly calling.
In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of Powell Oil and Gas and Nnadiaso Nnewi, Chief Kenneth Adili Ubah, who hosted family members and friends to a thanksgiving reception, expressed gratitude to God for blessing the family with a priest.
Chief Ubah also dedicated a house in honour of the newly ordained priest as part of the celebration.
The event featured praise and worship sessions, with guests joining in thanksgiving through songs and dancing.
Notable personalities at the occasion included Hon. Prince Jude Osumuo, President General of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi; Dr. Ugo Uzodike, President of Nnewi Sports Club; Engr. Sampson Ogugua; and other dignitaries from within and outside the community.
