As Anambra State citizens celebrate their state at 35, a former state Chairman, Nigerian Medical Association Dr. Peter Ogbuka, has scored the state relatively above average in its overall development.
In a congratulatory message to the state at 35 years of existence, Dr. Ogbuka observed that the state which is the home of the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Dr.Alex Ekwueme, among other all time greats, ought to have developed more than the present reality on the ground.
According to the medical expert, there is still room for improvement if the citizenry are properly galvanized to harness their human and material resources.

In the health sector, Dr. Ogbuka noted that although the state has made appreciable progress in its march to perfection, a lot still needs to be done to improve on the vast contributions of medical experts such as the late Prof. Festus Nwako, among others in promoting medical advances beyond the shores of the state.
He expects Anambra citizens and residents to take ownership of their state and leverage on the rich potentials the state can boast of to move it to enviable heights.
