The Special Adviser to the Anambra State Governor on Youth Reformation, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, has engaged youth leaders and other stakeholders on promoting values and initiatives under the state’s youth reformation programme.
Omenugha made this known on Aug. 10 after separate engagements with Mr. Odili Tony Ujubuonu, an advertising executive and immediate past Managing Director of the Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ANSAA), and youth leaders of Living Faith Church, also known as Winners’ Chapel.
He said his discussion with Ujubuonu, who is also the creative mind behind the Anambra State Anthem, focused on strategic communication, advocacy and creative storytelling as tools for communicating the government’s youth development vision.
According to him, the discussions examined ways of promoting responsible citizenship, hard work, integrity, respect, enterprise and service among young people.
Omenugha said the reformation message should be communicated in practical and relatable ways capable of influencing individual behaviour and community life.
Addressing the youth leaders of Living Faith Church, he explained the administration’s vision and urged them to promote positive values in their ministries, communities and daily interactions.
He also challenged the leaders to demonstrate the values they expected from those they led, stressing the importance of accountability, personal responsibility and leadership by example.
Omenugha said the engagements produced commitments to practical activities, including youth mentorship, values based discussions, community service, positive digital advocacy and exemplary leadership.
He urged young people to take active responsibility for shaping their future rather than merely complaining about prevailing challenges.
The Special Adviser called on them to contribute to efforts aimed at building a responsible and productive society in Anambra.
