The Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, Hon. Ikechukwu Okakpu, has addressed fellow local government chairmen at the second day of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Annual General Assembly in Abuja.
The event, held on October 15, at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja, was themed “Renewed Hope, Cooperative Federalism and Shared Prosperity.” It focused on the need for cooperation among the different tiers of government to promote sustainable development.
The assembly also featured the PGF-ALGON National General Assembly and the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council, attracting dignitaries, political leaders and local government administrators from across the country.
The gathering provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration and discuss strategies for improving local government administration and delivering effective governance at the grassroots.
